Developed over an intensive five-day production process, the video was collaboratively produced across multiple countries. Its creative direction, coordination, editing, and production were led entirely by Costa Rican women living abroad, with the participation of filmmaker Laura Ávila Tacsan. The project intentionally avoids partisan messaging, positioning itself instead as a civic intervention that values plurality, dialogue, and collective memory. I worked as the video editor and was responsible for conceptualizing the visual language of the piece. The editing approach focused on emotional rhythm, clarity, and intimacy, allowing each voice to resonate while maintaining a cohesive narrative flow. The visual style was designed to be restrained and human-centered, supporting the spoken messages without overshadowing them.
The video achieved 36.6K views in under 48 hours, generating strong engagement and contributing meaningfully to public discourse ahead of the electoral process.
