tu piel

project overview

Art direction and wardrobe stylist for Tu Piel by Yamile García, inspired by late 1970s and early 1980s pop and nightlife culture. I shaped the visual identity through period-inspired aesthetics, jewel-tone color palettes, and references to Madrid’s nocturnal scene.

Tu Piel is a music video rooted in the sonic and visual language of late 1970s and early 1980s pop, drawing direct inspiration from artists such as Luis Miguel and the glamorous nightlife culture of the era. The project translates these musical references into a contemporary visual narrative set within Madrid’s night scene, blending nostalgia with a modern sensibility. The visual language draws inspiration from Studio 54 and 1970s party culture, incorporating vintage silhouettes and expressive styling. The wardrobe featured flared pants, halter tops, button-up shirts, turtlenecks, two-piece sets, dresses, and vintage jackets, creating a cohesive yet dynamic look across scenes. The result is a visual world that supports the song’s nostalgic influences while reinterpreting them through a contemporary lens, celebrating music, movement, and the allure of the night.
